WNCC Sidney Campus Helps Link Resources to Community
Nebraska Ag Connection - 02/22/2019

Western Nebraska Community College's Sidney Campus hosted a Business Resource meeting for all interested small business owners and entrepreneurs.

The meeting, one of several business resource meetings held throughout the Panhandle recently, was meant to give small business owners clarity on the resources and programs available to them.

Presenting was Donna Kuskie with the Nebraska Department of Labor, Marla Marx with the United States Department of Agriculture, Paula Abbott with WNCC, Bryan Venable with Panhandle Area Development District, Jill Sauder with Small Business Master Mind Round Table, Melissa Norgard with Sidney Economic Development, Andrew Sherman with the Sidney Public Library, and Anthony Gurrola with Rural Enterprise Assistance Project.

Other resources available for residents in the area are Jeff Shoemaker with Shoemaker Law, L.L.C., and April Myers with Nebraska Enterprise Fund. WNCC has partnered with these resources to help serve constituents of the southern Panhandle and provide support for the businesses within the newly created WNCC Innovation & Entrepreneurship Center.

"We're incredibly thankful for all of the contributions we've received from these people and agencies throughout the community and Panhandle," said Abbott. "Their willingness to share their time and expertise have made the WNCC I & E Center successful and have made Sidney successful."
