Nebraska Ag Connection - 04/14/2021

Cindy Hall has accepted the position of regional director with Iowa State University Extension and Outreach serving Wapello, Jefferson, Davis and Van Buren counties in southeast Iowa. She begins the position May 17. As regional director, Hall will provide administrative leadership to county extension offices that meet legal obligations of the extension districts and oversee delivery of educational programs that align with the needs of the area.

Hall currently is the education program manager for the Iowa Agriculture Literacy Foundation, a statewide collaboration designed to augment and aggregate existing agriculture education while encouraging new efforts that promote agriculture literacy in Iowa schools. Prior to that, Hall worked as the program director for Agriculture in the Classroom with Polk County Farm Bureau. She also has been director of education and volunteers for Lauritzen Gardens, Omaha's Botanical Center.

"Cindy has much experience in partnership collaboration and program development. We are pleased she has accepted the role of regional director," said Andrea Nelson, assistant vice president with ISU Extension and Outreach. "We congratulate and welcome her to ISU Extension and Outreach."

Hall received a bachelor's degree in ornamental horticulture from Iowa State University and a master's degree in public horticulture from the University of Delaware. She is a 4-H club leader and serves on advisory councils in her community.
