Biodiesel Leaders to Discuss State of Industry Virtually
Nebraska Ag Connection - 01/19/2021

The National Biodiesel Conference & Expo officially launches Jan. 19 with a virtual address and discussion online for the first time.

"Rise: The Dawn of a New Era for Low-Carbon Fuels" will be held at 10 a.m. Central Jan. 19 to open the coference.

As the global economy continues to reel from a year of upheaval, the energy sector has not escaped unscathed. Yet the impending "energy transition" -- the shift from fossil fuels to clean energy -- has mostly remained intact, despite fears that the pandemic would send it into a tailspin, too. Behind the drive for a reinvented energy system, with the ultimate goal of driving down greenhouse gas emissions, you will find powerhouse states like California, New York, and more.

What opportunities exist for biodiesel and renewable diesel in this low carbon transformation? What to expect from delayed federal Renewable Fuel Standard volume requirements? Will SRE exemptions differ under a new Congress and Administration?

NBB CEO Donnell Rehagen will answer questions in his State of the Industry conference remarks.
