Nebraska Layer Inventory Tops 9 Million in September

All layers in Nebraska during September 2016 totaled 9.18 million, up from 5.72 million the previous year, according to the USDA's National Agricultural Statistics Service.
Nebraska egg production during September totaled 227 million eggs, up from 142 million in 2015.
September egg production per 100 layers was 2,469 eggs, compared to 2,476 eggs in 2015.
