U.S. Senator Deb Fischer (R-Neb.) will host chief agricultural negotiator in the Office of the United States Trade Representative, Ambassador Gregg Doud, in Omaha on Monday. Fischer and Doud will host a roundtable discussion on trade with local agricultural representatives. Following the roundtable, Fischer and Doud will hold a short media availability for members of the press.

Doud serves as the chief agricultural negotiator, with the rank of ambassador. He was confirmed by the U.S. Senate on March 1, 2018. Prior to Doud's nomination, he was the president of the Commodity Markets Council, serving since 2013.

Doud was raised on a dry-land wheat, grain sorghum, soybean, swine and cow-calf farm in Kansas. He also owns part of his family's more than 100-year-old farming operation that his parents continue to operate.

The foundtable will be held at Scoular Company, Conference Room, 1st Floor, Omaha.
