Nebraska Advantage Microenterprise Tax Credit Virtual Event
Nebraska Ag Connection - 10/23/2020

In 2005, the legislature passed the Nebraska Advantage Microenterprise Tax Credit, which created a significant tax incentive for small businesses with five or fewer employees. Since then, more than 2,100 businesses have benefited from the incentive by creating new jobs, expanding operations, and, in turn, bringing in more revenue.

At 6 p.m. on Oct. 27, the Center for Rural Affairs will be hosting a virtual forum, "The Nebraska Advantage for Small Businesses," with Regina Krebs, a CPA from Clearwater, Nebraska who works with business owners to claim this incentive.

Speakers will discuss the background and benefits of the program, who can apply, and limitations of the program, among other matters. They will also take questions from the audience on these and other related topics. This event may be particularly useful for small business owners, tax accountants, and economic development professionals.
