For the week ending Sunday, topsoil moisture supplies rated 35% very short, 48% short, 17% adequate, and 0% surplus, according to the USDA's National Agricultural Statistics Service. Subsoil moisture supplies rated 27% very short, 45% short, 28% adequate, and 0% surplus.
Winter wheat condition rated 6% very poor, 12% poor, 46% fair, 33% good, and 3% excellent.
