Farmers and ranchers in Nebraska can access free legal and financial guidance through confidential clinics designed to help address challenges affecting agricultural operations. Participants will meet individually with professionals who specialize in agricultural law and farm financial management.
The clinics are offered as one-on-one sessions, providing producers with personalized advice in a private setting. Remote appointments are also available for those who prefer to meet by phone or through a virtual platform.
Attendees can receive assistance with farm business planning, financial management, succession planning, farm loan programs, debt structure, cash-flow concerns, and agricultural disaster assistance. The program is intended to help producers evaluate options and make informed decisions about their farms or ranches.
Clinic locations this fall include Valentine (October 14), North Platte (October20), Norfolk (October27), Fairbury (November3), Ord (November10), and Mullen (November17). Interested producers can schedule an appointment or learn more by calling the Nebraska Rural Response Hotline at 1-800-464-0258.
By connecting farmers and ranchers with experienced legal and financial professionals, the clinics provide practical support for addressing business, financial, and operational challenges while helping strengthen long-term planning efforts.
Funding for this work is provided by the Nebraska Department of Agriculture and Legal Aid of Nebraska.
