Kubota honors veterans with new farming equipment

By Jamie Martin

In recognition of National Military Appreciation Month, Kubota Tractor Corporation partnered with the Farmer Veteran Coalition (FVC) to honor military veterans transitioning to careers in agriculture. The "Geared to Give" program awarded new Kubota equipment to five selected veterans at a special ceremony during the 2024 PBR World Finals in Texas.

The program acknowledges veterans' service and empowers them to contribute to the agricultural sector. This year's awardees represent various branches of the military and agricultural pursuits, including cattle ranching, Christmas tree farming, and U-Pick strawberry operations.

Each recipient received a new Kubota machine along with an all-expenses-paid trip to the PBR World Finals. The veterans also had the opportunity to meet with Kubota executives and tour the PBR venue.

"Geared to Give" is a long-standing partnership between Kubota and the FVC. Since its inception in 2015, Kubota has donated over $1 million to the FVC and provided 46 pieces of equipment to veteran farmers. The program also offers exclusive discounts to veteran members of the FVC for purchasing Kubota equipment.

Farmer veterans interested in applying for the "Geared to Give" program can visit the Farmer Veteran Coalition website (https://farmvetco.org/) for details on the 2025 application process.
