The Center for Agricultural Profitability (CAP) and the University of Nebraska-Lincoln's Testing Ag Performance Solutions (UNL TAPS) program have launched a new webinar series to help corn and soybean producers strengthen their grain marketing skills. The initiative aims to provide timely market insights and practical strategies for navigating changing market conditions during the harvest season.
The series, titled "Marketing Tips for Corn and Soybeans," began on September 1, 2026, and will continue every other week through October. Each session is designed to help producers better understand current price trends, market signals, and the factors influencing grain markets.
Participants will receive regular updates on corn and soybean markets while exploring key marketing concepts that can support more informed selling decisions. The webinars are intended to help producers develop a stronger marketing framework and improve their ability to respond to market opportunities.
A variety of topics will be covered throughout the series, including supply-and-demand fundamentals, stocks-to-use ratios, market chart analysis, crop progress reports, basis trends, and cash sale timing. By addressing different aspects of grain marketing, the program seeks to provide producers with a broader set of tools for managing risk and maximizing returns.
The sessions are led by Jeff Peterson, assistant professor of practice in agricultural economics at the University of Nebraska. His presentations combine market analysis with practical applications, helping producers interpret market data and make more confident marketing decisions.
A single registration provides access to all webinars in the series, with reminder emails sent before each session. Scheduled webinar dates include September 1, September 17, September 29, October 13, and October 27, 2026.
In addition to the live sessions, CAP and UNL TAPS offer a range of grain marketing resources available to producers. These educational tools are designed to support better decision-making and enhance marketing performance in an increasingly complex grain market environment.
