Farmers and ranchers across the state have an opportunity to receive free legal and financial guidance this November. The clinics provide confidential, one-on-one sessions with experts in agricultural law and finance, offering a valuable outside perspective on challenges affecting farms and ranches.
These sessions are designed to address a wide range of issues important to agricultural producers. Participants can discuss financial and business planning, farm and ranch transition planning, farm loan programs, debt management, cash flow, and relevant agricultural disaster programs. Attendees can also get guidance on debtor and creditor law and other concerns related to running a successful farm or ranch.
The clinics are not group sessions, ensuring privacy and allowing participants to focus on their individual needs. This makes it an ideal chance to receive personalized advice from professionals who understand the unique challenges of agriculture.
The upcoming clinic dates and locations are as follows:
- Wednesday, Nov. 5 — Fairbury
- Friday, Nov. 7 — Norfolk
- Wednesday, Nov. 12 — Valentine
Farmers and ranchers interested in attending should contact the Nebraska Farm Hotline at 1-800-464-0258 to sign up or get more information. These clinics are funded by the Nebraska Department of Agriculture and Legal Aid of Nebraska, making them free to participants.
By participating, producers can gain clarity on financial planning, understand available resources, and make informed decisions to strengthen their operations. Whether addressing debt, planning for the future, or exploring farm loan options, these clinics offer crucial support tailored specifically to agricultural needs.
Taking advantage of these sessions can help farmers and ranchers improve financial stability, ensure smooth business transitions, and access resources during challenging times, all with guidance from experienced professionals who focus on agriculture.
