The Nebraska Statewide Arboretum is set to host six unique plant sales throughout the month of June at multiple locations across the state. These events offer a chance to purchase native and well-adapted perennials, herbs, grasses, shrubs, and trees suitable for various growing conditions.
The main plant sales will take place at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln East Campus greenhouses, located at 2150 N. 38th Street. Additional sales will be held in Gering, Bellevue, and Gretna, making it convenient for residents across Nebraska to take part.
The full June schedule includes:
Wildflower Week Plant Sale: June 7 from 8:30 to 11 a.m. at Community Ever Green House, Gering
Friday Plant Sales: June 13 and 27 from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. at East Campus greenhouses
Saturday Plant Sale: June 14 from 9 a.m. to noon at East Campus greenhouses
Plant Sale at Fontenelle Forest: June 21 from 9 a.m. to noon at Camp Brewster, Bellevue
Pollinator Mini Plant Sale: June 21 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Schramm Education Center, Gretna
These events are a great opportunity for gardeners and nature lovers to purchase plants that thrive in Nebraska’s climate while supporting local conservation and biodiversity efforts. The plant selections also include pollinator-friendly varieties to help boost bee and butterfly populations.
