Nebraska producers can attend a series of free meetings hosted by the University of Nebraska-Lincoln’s Center for Agricultural Profitability (CAP) and the USDA Farm Service Agency (FSA) to learn about the Agriculture Risk Coverage (ARC) and Price Loss Coverage (PLC) programs. The sessions will help farmers understand program options and enrollment requirements for the 2026 and 2027 crop years.
Enrollment for the 2026 ARC and PLC programs remains open through December 11, 2026, while enrollment for the 2027 crop year will continue through March 15, 2027. These programs provide financial protection to producers against declines in crop revenue and market prices.
During the meetings, Nebraska Extension specialists and FSA representatives will explain program updates, enrollment procedures, and key factors producers should consider before making decisions. Participants will also receive guidance on eligibility requirements and available program benefits.
The educational sessions are designed for farmers, agricultural advisers, consultants, lenders, and other industry professionals. Organizers aim to help producers better manage risk and make informed farm program decisions.
Meetings will be held at several locations across Nebraska from November 4-6, 2026, including Bridgeport, Norfolk, Ithaca, Beatrice, Ainsworth, North Platte, and Kearney. Some locations will provide light refreshments sponsored by Farm Credit Services of America.
Attendance is free, but advance registration is encouraged through local Nebraska Extension offices or the Center for Agricultural Profitability website. These meetings offer producers a valuable opportunity to prepare for upcoming enrollment deadlines and evaluate the best options for their operations.
