60 Years of Innovation at Farm Machinery Show

60 Years of Innovation at Farm Machinery Show

By Jamie Martin

Farmers from across the globe will gather in Kentucky for the 60th anniversary of the National Farm Machinery Show, the world’s largest indoor farm exhibition. The event will run February 11–14 at the Kentucky Exposition Center, offering visitors a comfortable indoor setting to explore new farm ideas.

The show began in 1966 with a small number of exhibitors and simple equipment displays. Over six decades, it has grown into a major international event. Today, the exhibition halls are fully booked, highlighting the show’s strong demand and trusted reputation. Attendees can explore modern farming tools, including drones and artificial intelligence systems designed to improve efficiency and productivity. Leading agriculture brands such as New Holland and AGCO will present new solutions for today’s farmers.

Educational sessions are an important part of the program, offering practical information to help producers prepare for upcoming seasons. These sessions focus on planning, technology use, and adapting to industry changes.

The Championship Tractor Pull will again take place at Freedom Hall, featuring top drivers from around the world. Multiple competition sessions will test engine power and driving skill, with live broadcasts available for remote viewers.

Outside the exhibit halls, visitors will see major construction work underway. This expansion, supported by the Kentucky General Assembly, will soon increase the venue’s size and improve future events.

As the milestone year approaches, organizers express appreciation for farmers and their families. The show continues to honor agriculture’s past while supporting innovation for the future.
