Eastern Nebraska farmer Quentin Connealy says corn planting will get underway this week ahead of a potential storm system.
“The ground is warming up. I think we’re in the high 40s. We’re going to try some Friday ahead of the rain to make sure everything works for when we really get going, we’re good to roll.”
But, he tells Brownfield, it could be a sluggish start for Cornhusker farmers in the northern half of the state after taking a recent trip to the Panhandle.
