Agronomy and Horticulture IMPACT 2026 — Innovation and Partnerships for the Future — will take place March 3–4 at Nebraska Innovation Campus. The Department of Agronomy and Horticulture will host this department-wide conference to celebrate achievements in teaching, research, and extension while encouraging strong partnerships.
The conference will highlight how agronomy and horticulture programs are shaping the future of agriculture. Faculty, students, industry leaders, agencies, commodity boards, and community stakeholders will come together to share ideas and strengthen collaboration. The event will provide an opportunity for participants to learn about current projects and explore new partnerships.
Students are encouraged to present research posters at the event. Abstracts must be submitted by Feb. 16. Organizations, extension teams, and teaching groups interested in hosting displays can complete the webform at https://agronomy.unl.edu/aght-impact-2026/display/.
On March 3, attendees could participate in the Water and Integrated Cropping Systems Conference at the Nebraska East Union. Later that day, participants may attend the Institute of Agriculture and Natural Resources Heuermann Lecture at 4 p.m. on Nebraska Innovation Campus, featuring Washington Post columnist Tamar Haspel. The evening will conclude with the IMPACT 2026 kickoff mixer at 6 p.m., showcasing posters, displays, and demonstrations.

IMPACT 2026 will provide a platform to share knowledge, celebrate success, and build meaningful partnerships that support the future of agriculture.
