The Institute of Agriculture and Natural Resources (IANR) at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln is now accepting nominations for its 2026 faculty awards program. The annual awards recognize faculty members who demonstrate excellence and leadership in teaching, research, Extension, and service.
University officials said the awards celebrate faculty contributions that support agriculture, education, scientific advancement, and communities throughout Nebraska and beyond. The honors also recognize individuals who continue to strengthen the university’s land-grant mission through innovation, outreach, and academic achievement.
Faculty award nominations must be submitted by July 1, 2026. All nomination materials are required to be completed and submitted electronically using the university’s official online nomination forms.
The awards currently open for nominations include the Dinsdale Family Faculty Award and the Omtvedt Innovation Awards. The Omtvedt Innovation Awards recognize excellence in the areas of Teaching, Research, and Extension.
University leaders said these awards help highlight faculty members who create meaningful impacts through classroom instruction, research projects, outreach programs, and public service efforts. The awards also encourage continued leadership and innovation across the university community.
