The Nebraska Dairy Ambassador Program provides young leaders with an opportunity to gain knowledge and strengthen communication skills while promoting dairy across the state.
During the year 2025 program, ambassadors took part in nearly sixty event activations. These activities helped build confidence, improve leadership abilities, and increase awareness of dairy production among consumers and community members.
Participants attended both in-person and virtual training that introduced key topics related to dairy farming, food safety, animal care, and industry sustainability. They were also involved in major industry events, including the Nebraska State Dairy Convention and the Midwest Dairy Ambassador for in-person training.
Through the program, ambassadors gained valuable insight into dairy production and the broader food system. They also learned how to communicate effectively with audiences of different ages and backgrounds. The goal of the ambassador's experience is to equip young leaders with skills that support the future of the dairy industry.
Applications for the 2026 Midwest Dairy Ambassador Program are due December 1. Those interested in participating can find additional information and application details on the Midwest Dairy website. The ongoing program continues to support leadership development and encourages youth involvement in agriculture.
