By Scout Nelson

U.S. Senator Deb Fischer has garnered the endorsement of the Nebraska Farm Bureau Political Action Committee (NEFB-PAC) in her bid for re-election. Recognized for her unwavering dedication to crucial policy matters impacting Nebraska's farm and ranch communities, Fischer's endorsement reflects her exemplary work on issues vital to the state's agricultural sector.

Mark McHargue, President of the Nebraska Farm Bureau (NEFB), commended Fischer's understanding of the challenges faced by farmers and ranchers. Serving on the Senate Agriculture Committee, Fischer holds a prominent role in addressing the multifaceted issues confronting agricultural families. NEFB is enthusiastic about supporting her re-election bid due to her ongoing commitment to the agricultural sector.

Fischer's impressive track record includes leadership in the 2018 Farm Bill passage and her efforts towards the upcoming Farm Bill. Recognized as an advocate for reducing regulatory burdens on farmers, she has been instrumental in safeguarding livestock producers from onerous air emission reporting requirements. Additionally, Fischer has championed year-round access to E-15 ethanol.

The Nebraska Farm Bureau expressed gratitude for Fischer's advocacy in supporting precision agriculture and securing funding for the National Center for Resilient and Regenerative Precision Agriculture research center at Nebraska Innovation Campus. This commitment is expected to contribute to a more sustainable future for the country's food producers.

Senator Fischer's influence extends to cattle marketing regulations, defending access to global markets for Nebraska growers through trade advocacy, and supporting essential updates to the nation's transportation and broadband infrastructure. Her endorsement by NEFB-PAC is rooted in her consistent efforts to serve the interests of Nebraska's farm and ranch families.

The endorsement process involved a grassroots approach, with input gathered from County Farm Bureaus across Nebraska. NEFB-PAC looks forward to continued collaboration with Senator Fischer, anticipating further enhancements to Nebraska agriculture and the well-being of its residents through her dedicated advocacy.
