The Nebraska Pork Producers Association (NPPA) is gearing up to host a series of regional meetings aimed at swine producers across Nebraska. Scheduled for February and March 2024, these meetings are designed to provide essential updates that impact the pork industry directly.
The events are open to all swine producers interested in gaining insights into current industry trends, updates, and advancements.
Meeting Dates and Venues:
- February 13, 2024: Nielson Event Center, West Point, NE
- February 27, 2024: 1888 Tavern, Lindsey, NE
- March 12, 2024: Valentino’s Restaurant, Beatrice, NE
Evening Schedule:
Attendees can look forward to an evening of networking, dining, and informative presentations starting at 6:00 P.M. with socialization, followed by dinner at 6:30 P.M., and the program commencing at 6:45 P.M. The meetings will cover a variety of topics crucial for today's swine producers, including:
- An in-depth analysis of the Danish swine industry.
- Updates on livestock modernization and state tax benefits in Nebraska.
- Insights into how the NPPC and National Pork Board initiatives affect profit margins.
- Current swine health concerns with answers from area swine veterinarians.
- The impact of new traceability standards on the business.
- Latest findings from UNL Swine Research.
These meetings are not just an opportunity to stay updated on the pork industry's latest trends and regulations but also a chance for producers to engage with experts and peers alike.
