Farmers and ranchers in the state have a valuable opportunity coming up this December. Free legal and financial clinics are being organized, providing one-on-one, in-person consultations with professionals specializing in agricultural law and financial planning. These confidential meetings are an excellent chance for those in the farming and ranching community to receive expert guidance on a variety of relevant topics.
The clinics will feature an agricultural law attorney and an agricultural financial counselor. Their expertise covers a wide range of areas crucial to farming and ranching, including business and financial planning, transition planning, understanding farm loan programs, navigating debtor/creditor law, managing debt structure and cash flow, and leveraging agricultural disaster programs, among others.
This is not a group workshop but a private session, ensuring confidentiality and personalized attention. The focus is on providing farmers and ranchers with an independent, external viewpoint on issues impacting their farm or ranch operations.
The upcoming clinic is scheduled for Friday, December 15, in Norfolk. Those interested in taking advantage of this opportunity can sign up for a free clinic or seek more information by calling the Nebraska Farm Hotline at 1-800-464-0258.
This initiative represents a significant support mechanism for the agricultural community, addressing the unique legal and financial challenges faced in farming and ranching.
