The Center for Agricultural Profitability at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln is organizing a crucial webinar on December 7 at noon Central time. This online event will focus on the Corporate Transparency Act and its 2024 filing requirements, which are highly relevant to a wide range of businesses, including many farms and ranches.
The Corporate Transparency Act, passed by the U.S. Congress in 2021, requires all U.S. corporations and limited liability companies to disclose crucial information about their officers and primary owners, aiming to prevent money laundering and related criminal activities. This act applies to small and agricultural businesses, regardless of their nature.
Dave Aiken, a professor and extension agricultural law and water law specialist at UNL, will lead the webinar. He plans to discuss the background of the act, its reasons for adoption, and the specific details required in the filings, including which business members need to be included.
This webinar is part of the Center for Agricultural Profitability's ongoing weekly series. It represents an invaluable opportunity for agricultural business owners and operators to gain insights into these new legal requirements.
Registration for the webinar is complimentary and can be completed on the center’s website.
