The achievement recognizes students who have met the grade-point average (GPA) requirements set by their respective colleges.
Each undergraduate college and the Explore Center determine their own GPA criteria for the Deans’ List, ensuring that high academic standards are maintained. Listed below are the minimum GPA requirements for each college:
- College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources: 3.75
- College of Architecture: 3.75
- College of Arts and Sciences: 3.7

The university has published the names of students by hometown, state, and country. The first section lists Nebraska students, followed by students from other U.S. states, and then international students. Some international students are included under their adopted U.S. hometowns, while others have opted not to be listed.
The University of Nebraska continues to celebrate student achievements and encourages academic excellence across all disciplines. The Deans’ List serves as a testament to students’ hard work and dedication to their studies, reinforcing the university’s commitment to academic success and professional growth.
