The University of Nebraska-Lincoln's Center for Agricultural Profitability and Nebraska Extension is launching a workshop on risk management for cattle producers on October 27 in Bridgeport. The interactive session aims to equip producers with strategies to navigate uncertainties in the cattle industry.
This hands-on workshop, taking place at the Prairie Winds Community Center from 5:00 pm to 7:30 pm, is an excellent opportunity for the public to learn from the experts. Attendees will explore current challenges in the industry and discover innovative approaches to decision-making.
Special focus will be given to managing drought risks through the USDA’s Pasture, Rangeland, and Forage (PRF) Insurance, and tackling price risks with the USDA’s Livestock Risk Protection (LRP).
This workshop offers a real-world case study to understand strategies for using subsidized insurance products. Participants will determine the best fit for their approach. A free dinner catered by Susanna Batterman will enhance the learning experience.
Don't miss out; registration is crucial and must be completed by October 24. Secure your spot by visiting UNL's Cattle Risk Workshop Registration or calling 402-472-3401.
This event is a golden chance to network, learn, and prepare for a thriving future in cattle production. See you there!
