The Southeast Nebraska Pasture & Acreage Expo, hosted by Nebraska Extension in 2024, offers livestock farmers and small-acreage owners in the region a chance to improve their businesses. The Nebraska Extension in Lancaster County conference rooms, at 444 Cherrycreek Road, Suite A, Lincoln, will host the event on Friday, August 23.
The expo begins with check-in and refreshments at 1 p.m., followed by educational programs from 1:30 to 6 p.m. Attendees can explore exhibitor booths and participate in sessions covering general pasture management and topics specific to acreage owners. The flexible format allows attendees to join the entire program or attend specific sessions of interest.
Nebraska Extension brings together research-based, unbiased information for producers and acreage owners. The 2024 expo features presentations from experts on equine nutrition, virtual fencing, drones in pasture management, winter cow care, pasture establishment, weed identification, and windbreak management.
This event is designed to help both experienced and novice landowners maximize the value of their properties and livestock operations. In addition to the educational sessions, attendees will have the opportunity to engage in one-on-one discussions with local industry exhibitors and sponsors, addressing key issues relevant to Nebraska’s agricultural community.
