Nebraska Corn Board Internship in D.C.

By Scout Nelson

The Nebraska Corn Board (NCB) is inviting students to apply for an exciting event management internship in Washington, D.C., scheduled for the summer of 2025. The internship, in partnership with the U.S. Grains Council, offers students a unique opportunity to learn about Nebraska’s corn industry while gaining real-world professional experience in the agribusiness field.

As an intern, you will assist in the planning and coordination of key events such as the Global Ethanol Summit and the Annual Board of Delegates Meeting. The internship will also involve additional responsibilities related to state and national organizations that focus on corn, sorghum, barley, and U.S. agribusinesses.

This hands-on experience provides valuable exposure to the operations of these industries and the impact they have on a global scale.

The internship will take place from May 2025 to August 2025, providing an excellent opportunity to gain experience over the summer. The program is open to all college students, with preference given to those enrolled in universities or colleges located in Nebraska. This internship will offer you a chance to contribute to important industry events while building a strong professional network.

The application process is available online at nebraskacorn.gov/internships/. Students interested in applying should submit their applications by the deadline, which is Friday, April 4, 2025.

This internship is ideal for students who want to combine their academic knowledge with practical experience in event management, marketing, and the agricultural sector. Participants will walk away with enhanced skills and a deeper understanding of the corn industry, preparing them for future careers in agribusiness or related fields.

If you’re looking for a summer internship that combines learning, professional growth, and exposure to Nebraska’s agricultural leadership, this is an excellent opportunity. Don’t miss out on the chance to apply!
