Nebraska Soybean Board meeting set for July 2025

Nebraska Soybean Board meeting set for July 2025

By Scout Nelson

The Nebraska Soybean Board (NSB) has scheduled its upcoming meeting for July 1–2, 2025. The meeting will be held at the NSB office located at 4625 Innovation Drive in Lincoln, Nebraska. This event offers a platform for reviewing the future and engaging with the public.

During the meeting, the Board will conduct its regular business and focus on reviewing proposals for the fiscal year 2026. Board members will also evaluate other new opportunities to support Nebraska’s soybean industry through research, education, market development, and innovation.

The meeting is open to the public, offering stakeholders and community members an opportunity to join the conversation and contribute to the future direction of soybean investments in the state. A public discussion period will be provided as part of the agenda.

Anyone interested in attending or learning more can access the full meeting agenda on the Nebraska Soybean Board website at www.nebraskasoybeans.org. Transparency and public engagement remain key components of the board’s decision-making process.

The NSB is a nine-member board responsible for managing Nebraska’s portion of the soybean checkoff program. Funds collected—calculated as one-half of one percent of the net sales price per bushel of soybeans sold—are reinvested into projects that benefit soybean producers. These efforts include funding for research, educational initiatives, domestic and international marketing, and the development of new uses for soybeans and soybean-based products.

Meetings like this play a vital role in guiding how these funds are spent, ensuring continued growth and sustainability for Nebraska’s soybean sector. Producers, industry members, and the public are encouraged to stay informed and participate in shaping the future of the state’s soybean industry.
