The 2025 Nebraska Soybean Management Field Days will take place August 12–15, offering valuable insights into soybean production, management practices, and marketing strategies. This year features the second annual spotlight on the Soybean Testing Ag Performance Solutions (TAPS) competition, a project that encourages learning through field-based performance data.
Organized by the Nebraska Soybean Board (NSB) and Nebraska Extension, the field days are designed to help producers stay updated on the latest advancements in soybean research and management. With an emphasis on practical information, the events also encourage discussion among growers, researchers, and ag professionals.
“Our goal is to give growers real value they can take home and use,” said Andy Chvatal, NSB executive director. “By highlighting programs like TAPS, we’re helping producers evaluate new ideas and learn directly from the results.”
This year’s event includes two formats. Evening sessions will be held August 12–14 in Ravenna, Concord, and Weeping Water. Each evening begins with registration at 5:30 p.m., followed by presentations from 6–8 p.m. Topics include the TAPS competition, soybean disease management, white mold, market updates, and gall midge research.
The final field day will be held on the morning of August 15 in the Mead. Registration starts at 10 a.m., with sessions running from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. The program includes a tour of TAPS competition plots, market discussions, and biodiesel presentations.
Attendees will also connect with experts from MEG Corp, Nebraska Soybean Association, and NSB at all locations.
