Nebraska Soybean Production Clinic Planned for Feb. 15 in Central City

Nebraska Extension wants to help you take your soybean production to the next level with topics relating to IPM for successful weed management in soybean, soybean planter setup and adjustments, nutrient needs for Nebraska soybean, and much more. The 2024 Nebraska Soybean Production Clinic will be held Thursday, Feb. 15 at the Merrick County Youth and Agriculture Education Center, Merrick County Fairgrounds in Central City, Nebraska, starting at 9 a.m. with breakfast refreshments and time to visit with the vendors at the display booths.

Presentations will start at 9:30 a.m. with USDA updates and conclude about 3:45 p.m. with door prizes. The event has a great lineup of excellent speakers focusing on all things soybeans, plus several ag display booths.

“The one-day, research-based clinic starts at the big picture level and then drills into the issues that are central to making corn production decisions with the goal of a more profitable soybean crop,” said Steve Melvin, Nebraska Extension cropping systems educator and event coordinator. “The day is free of charge to the participants thanks to our sponsors and exhibitors. Our breakfast refreshment sponsor is Archer Credit Union and the noon meal sponsor is Pinnacle Bank.”
