Nebraska Extension and the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service are launching the second cohort of the Regenerative Agriculture Learning Hub on June 15, 2026. This two-month virtual program is designed for farmers, crop advisors, conservation staff, and other agricultural professionals across Nebraska. The program is offered at no cost and aims to promote sustainable and profitable farming systems.
The initiative is led by principal investigator Carolina Córdova, who focuses on research-based methods to improve soil health and strengthen farm resilience. The program encourages participants to adopt adaptive strategies that help manage changing environmental conditions while maintaining productivity.
Participants will study key areas of regenerative agriculture such as efficient use of resources, soil and water conservation, climate resilient farming systems, cover crops, diversified cropping, crop livestock integration, nutrient management, manure management, and water quality. The learning format includes short, recorded sessions and live webinars with discussions, enabling practical learning, and better decision making.
Expert speakers for the program include Joe Luck, Aaron Mittelstet, Eric Hunt, Conor Ward, Carlos Villarreal, Jenny Brhel, Mary Drewnoski, Cory Walters, Katja Koehler Cole, Carolina Córdova, Anni Poetzl, Javed Iqbal, and Amy Schmidt. Each expert will cover specific topics related to modern agricultural practices and sustainability.
Participants who complete all three modules can earn up to 6.5 continuing education unit credits and a digital badge. The modules include conservation strategies for resilient farms, regenerative agriculture practices and benefits, and ecosystem services.
“Don’t miss this chance to strengthen your operation, learn from Nebraska experts, and connect with a growing network of producers.”
More details about the program are available at the Regenerative Agriculture Learning Hub site.
Registration is open until June 15, 2026. Interested participants can register here.
