Register Now for Nebraska's 2023 Ag & Economic Development Summit

Nebraska Governor Jim Pillen, along with the Nebraska Department of Economic Development (DED) and the Nebraska Department of Agriculture (NDA), invites individuals to register for the Governor's Ag and Economic Development Summit. This annual event, scheduled for August 8-9, 2023, at the Younes Conference Center North in Kearney, serves as a platform for discussing strategies to advance Nebraska's agricultural and economic sectors.

Registration is now open at https://govsummit.nebraska.gov/., where attendees can secure their spot for the summit. The distinguished keynote speaker for this year's summit is Trev Alberts, Director of Athletics for the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

The Governor's Summit brings together industry leaders and economic developers to explore opportunities for growth in Nebraska. Engaging breakout sessions will cover various topics including workforce development, bio manufacturing, value-added agriculture, creative housing solutions, international trade, and more.

During the event, Trev Alberts, known for his accomplishments as a former Husker football All-American and NFL player, will deliver remarks during lunch. Alberts has made a significant impact on collegiate athletics as the Director of Athletics at UNO and now at UNL, driving the growth of sports programs and championing student-athletes.

The Summit commences on the evening of August 8th with a reception and banquet hosted by the Nebraska Diplomats. This special event includes an awards ceremony recognizing leaders, businesses, and communities that have made substantial contributions to the state's economic success in the previous year.

The primary day of the Summit is on Wednesday, August 9th, featuring opening and closing remarks by Governor Pillen, a keynote address by Trev Alberts, and a range of informative breakout sessions led by subject matter experts.
