Secure your pesticide license at 2024 applicator training

By Scout Nelson

On March 18, 2024, from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm, the SCC Learning Center in Falls City, Nebraska, will become a hub for agricultural safety and compliance, hosting the Private Pesticide Applicator Training.

This session is designed for individuals who use or oversee the use of restricted-use pesticides on agricultural lands they own or lease, marking a key step in ensuring the safe and responsible application of these substances.

The training, mandatory for those seeking to purchase or apply restricted-use pesticides legally, offers both certification and licensing opportunities.

The cost of attendance is $60, and participants are reminded to bring a driver's license or photo ID, along with the bar-coded recertification form received from the Nebraska Department of Agriculture.

Payment can be made via cash or check, payable to the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

Pre-registration is a requirement for all attendees, ensuring a streamlined and efficient training process. Interested individuals can register online at https://go.unl.edu/2024privatepest or by contacting their local Extension Office.

For further inquiries, Ritika Lamichhane can be reached at (402) 274-4755 or via email at rlamichhane3@unl.edu.

This in-person training is not only a pathway to certification and licensing but also an opportunity for agricultural professionals to deepen their understanding of pesticide safety and application techniques.
