Announcement from the Biden administration concerning the extension of federal sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) tax credits to include agriculturally produced feedstocks including soy and ethanol is a big win for Nebraska. Our state’s ethanol sector, the second largest in the nation and an industry that contributes over $3.8 billion annually to our state’s economy, along with a substantially growing soy SAF sector, are now powerfully positioned to produce sustainable next generation aviation fuels that will benefit our environment as well as our state’s economy.”
