Nebraska Extension is introducing a four-session webinar series aimed at educating cow-calf producers on the essentials of bovine nutrition. This series, scheduled for January 15, 18, 22, and 25, will run from 7:30 to 8:45 p.m. CT on Monday and Thursday evenings.
The webinar will dissect the factors influencing a cow's nutritional needs and how these requirements shift throughout the year. Producers will learn how to interpret feed test results and feed tags, understanding what the various numbers signify.
The sessions will guide attendees through comparing feed options to identify the most cost-effective choices and developing a comprehensive feeding plan that aligns with the seasonal needs of their herd.
Registration is $50, which includes a valuable collection of resources from Nebraska Extension and is open until January 8. The webinar is designed to be interactive, with a cap of 35 participants to ensure a quality experience for all attendees.
The series promises to be an essential educational event for those looking to optimize their feeding strategies and bolster the economic efficiency of their operations.
