The Confronting Cropping Challenges (CCC) program, hosted by Nebraska Extension, focuses on addressing 2024 cropping issues in northeastern Nebraska while helping producers plan for 2025. Now in its eighth year, the CCC program continues to receive positive feedback from participants.

Program Details

This year, CCC will be held in four locations across northeast Nebraska in December. The 2.5-hour program starts at 1 p.m. central time. Producers seeking Private Pesticide Applicator Recertification must also attend from 3:30 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Event Locations and Dates

Dec. 3: Eastern Nebraska Research Extension and Education Center, Mead

Dec. 4: Colfax County Fairgrounds, Leigh

Dec. 10: City Auditorium, Randolph

Dec. 12: Antelope County Fair Grounds, Neligh

Costs and Recertification Details

The CCC program costs $10. For producers renewing their Private Pesticide Applicator License, the total fee is $70, including the recertification training. License expiring in 2025 will retain their full certification period.

Manure Workshop

In Randolph and Neligh, participants can attend an additional workshop on manure nutrient management, costing $25 and including a meal. The workshop will provide insights on using manure to save money, resist stress, and improve soil health. Pre-registration is required.

This program offers valuable resources for Nebraska producers, addressing key challenges while ensuring cost-effective and sustainable agricultural practices.
