The Nebraska Corn Board (NCB) recently elected four farmers to serve in leadership roles during its August 20 board meeting. These roles, which are effective immediately, will continue for one year with the possibility of reelection.
Brandon Hunnicutt, representing District 3, was elected as the new chair of the Nebraska Corn Board. Hunnicutt farms near Giltner alongside his father and brother, continuing his family’s agricultural legacy. Elected as vice chair is Andy Groskopf, who represents District 8. Groskopf operates a farm near Scottsbluff, Nebraska.
Ted Schrock, the District 5 director, was chosen to serve as secretary/treasurer of the board. Schrock farms near Elm Creek, where he works closely with his father, brother, uncles, cousins, and son. Each of these individuals brings a wealth of farming experience and knowledge to their new positions.
Jay Reiners, who previously served as chairman of the board for three consecutive terms, now transitions to the role of past chairman. Reiners, an at-large director, farms near Juniata, where he grows field corn, seed corn, and soybeans.
The Nebraska Corn Board works to advance the interests of the state’s corn industry, and these elected leaders will play a vital role in guiding the organization’s initiatives over the next year.
