The second annual Nebraska Precision Agriculture Conference will take place on Friday, Nov. 21, 2025, at the Hall County Extension Office in Grand Island. With the theme “Getting Back to Basics,” the conference will focus on the importance of mastering core precision agriculture principles amid rapid advancements in modern ag technology.
As the agriculture industry continues to evolve through artificial intelligence, automation, data analytics, and sensors, the event aims to provide both new and experienced participants with a deeper understanding of how to apply technology effectively. The conference will highlight foundational tools and best practices that improve efficiency and ensure a greater return on investment (ROI).
Designed for producers, educators, students, and ag professionals, the event offers opportunities for collaboration and learning. Attendees will explore how precision technologies support every stage of the crop cycle — from soil preparation and planting to harvest and future planning. Sessions will blend technical insights with real-world examples that enhance on-farm decision-making and resource management.
The Nebraska Precision Agriculture Conference will also help participants understand the broader applications of ag technology, including how data integration and smart tools can increase productivity, reduce input costs, and improve sustainability across operations.
Organized in partnership with University of Nebraska Extension and the Nebraska GIS/LIS Association, the one-day event runs from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Registration is $50 per person and includes lunch. Pre-registration is required by Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2025.
