Rob-See-Co Promotes Jason Saalfeld as New CFO

By Scout Nelson

Rob-See-Co, an independent seed company based in Elkhorn, Nebraska, has promoted Jason Saalfeld to the position of Chief Financial Officer (CFO), effective October 1, 2026, and marks an important step in the company's continued growth and long-term business strategy.

Saalfeld has been part of Rob-See-Co since May 2016. Over the past decade, he has held several financial positions with increasing responsibility. He started as a financial analyst and later moved into the role of accounting manager in November 2021. His promotion to CFO marks an important step in his career and reflects his years of service to the company.

As CFO, Saalfeld will help manage the company's financial activities and plan for future business needs. His duties include overseeing financial reports, supporting budget planning, and guiding financial operations. These responsibilities will help Rob-See-Co maintain its financial strength while working toward continued growth and long-term success.

“Jason’s experience and deep understanding of our business will be instrumental in supporting Rob-See-Co’s continued growth and long-term success,” said Jim Robinson, CEO of Rob-See-Co. “Beyond his financial expertise, he is a trusted and respected member of our team who leads with integrity and a genuine commitment to those around him. We are fortunate to have his leadership as we look to the future.”

Before joining Rob-See-Co, Saalfeld spent nearly nine years with Shaw, Hull & Navarrette, CPAs. During his time there, he gained valuable accounting experience and earned his Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation. This professional background helped prepare him for the financial leadership responsibilities he takes on at Rob-See-Co.

Saalfeld holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. He also completed minors in Economics and Mathematics. His education provides a strong foundation in accounting, financial planning, and business analysis.

In addition to his professional work, Saalfeld takes an active role in his community. He is originally from North Bend, Nebraska, and supports local nonprofit organizations through leadership and financial oversight roles. These organizations include Grand Passage Sportsmen and the Purcell Initiative. His community involvement reflects his interest in helping local groups manage their activities and achieve their goals.

"Having been part of Rob-See-Co for nearly a decade, I'm excited to take on this new role and continue contributing to the company's future," said Saalfeld. "I look forward to working alongside our leadership team to support our employees, customers, and continued growth."

His appointment highlights the value of professional experience, strong financial knowledge, and leadership within the agricultural seed industry. With nearly ten years at Rob-See-Co, Saalfeld understands the company's operations and business goals. His new role will focus on supporting sound financial decisions, helping employees and customers, and preparing the company for future opportunities.
