An Agricultural Land Lease Workshop is scheduled for Wednesday, October 8, from 10 a.m. to noon in the Bordeaux Room at the Chadron State College Student Center. This free event provides an opportunity to learn the latest strategies for managing agricultural land leases.
The workshop will highlight current trends in cash rental rates, explain important lease provisions, and offer practical advice on crop-share lease considerations. Presenters will also discuss methods to improve communication between landlords and tenants to build stronger partnerships and avoid misunderstandings.
Participants will hear from Nebraska Extension Educators Jessica Groskopf and Brock Ortner, who will present the latest results from the 2025 Nebraska Farm Real Estate Survey. Their presentation will help attendees understand how market conditions are shaping rental agreements and will share valuable insights for both landowners and tenants.
