Enhance Cattle Production Skills at Nebraska Stockmanship & Stewardship Events
Nebraska Ag Connection - 05/25/2023

Registration is now open for two Nebraska Stockmanship & Stewardship events, scheduled for June 13 in Norfolk and June 15 in McCook. These events offer valuable educational experiences designed specifically for cattle producers, encompassing various aspects of livestock management and industry updates.

Attendees will have the opportunity to witness low-stress cattle handling demonstrations, participate in Beef Quality Assurance (BQA) sessions, engage in discussions on facility design, and stay informed about the latest developments in the industry. Participants can also become BQA certified, network with fellow producers, and gain hands-on experience through demonstrations led by industry experts, who will share cutting-edge techniques.

Renowned experts, including Dr. Ron Gill, Dr. Dean Fish, and Curt Pate, will conduct live animal handling demonstrations, providing invaluable insights into cattle behavior and effective handling practices. Topics such as vaccines, reproductive efficiency, value-added calf programs, and a panel discussion by Certified Angus Beef will be covered.

For those interested in grazing management, a dedicated seminar will be held on June 14 in Norfolk. Additionally, attendees can explore reimbursement options through the Rancher Resilience Grant, which offers financial support.
