Gordon Livestock Market in Gordon, Nebraska, is excited to host the upcoming Nebraska Women in Agriculture event on Saturday, June 22. This engaging program, developed in partnership with Nebraska Extension’s Women in Agriculture, aims to support and empower women in the agricultural sector.

The day begins with check-in at 8 a.m., followed by a welcoming breakfast between 9 and 10 a.m. Participants will enjoy a full day of activities, including a complimentary lunch and dinner, with various vendors available throughout the event.

Featured speakers for the event include Kurt Sexton of Farm Credit and Jenn Stomprud of Stomprud Ranch. Sexton will share insights on financial management in agriculture, covering topics such as record-keeping best practices, loan preparation, and creating a professional balance sheet.

Stomprud, who has a diverse background from Hawaii to South Dakota, will discuss her unique journey into ranch life and the value of continuous learning in agriculture.

The event will conclude with a dinner and a Floral Arranging Class, where attendees can enjoy cocktails and engage in social networking. This offers a perfect opportunity to connect with peers and build lasting relationships in the industry.

Registration is set at $60, with an additional $25 craft fee. Interested participants can register at www.gordonlivestock.com or by calling 308-282-1171.

This event promises to be a valuable experience for all women involved in agriculture, providing tools, knowledge, and connections to enhance their roles in this vital industry.
