Nebraska's LEAD Program is accepting applications for its 43rd class, starting in fall 2024. The program seeks up to 30 motivated individuals with potential for leadership in production agriculture or agribusiness.

The goal is to develop influential leaders who can guide the future of agriculture and positively impact Nebraska, promoting the advancement of the agricultural industry.

Participants of the LEAD Program, known as LEAD Fellows, will embark on an enriching journey that includes 12 three-day seminars held monthly across Nebraska. The curriculum is enriched with a 10-day national and a 14–16-day international study/travel seminar, designed to broaden perspectives and understanding of global agricultural practices.

The program's curriculum is meticulously crafted to cover a wide array of topics such as leadership development, natural resources, agricultural policy, international trade, and much more, all aimed at honing problem-solving and decision-making skills.

The Nebraska LEAD Program, run by the non-profit Nebraska Agricultural Leadership Council, collaborates with the University of Nebraska-Lincoln's Institute of Agriculture and Natural Resources and 13 other Nebraska higher education institutions to provide a diverse learning experience.

Interested candidates must submit their applications by June 15. Applications can be obtained via email from leadprogram@unl.edu, by writing to the Nebraska LEAD Program office, or by calling 402-472-6810. Further details about the application process and the program can be found at www.lead.unl.edu.

Located on the East Campus of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, the Nebraska LEAD Program offices serve as the program's hub, fostering a community of learning and leadership development within the agricultural sector.

This program represents a unique opportunity for individuals committed to making a significant impact in agriculture and beyond, preparing them to become the leaders of tomorrow.
