An Initial Pesticide Training session will be held on March 25, 2025, in Omaha to provide certification for commercial and noncommercial pesticide applicators. This training will cover essential safety regulations, application guidelines, and best practices for responsible pesticide use.
The event will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Douglas-Sarpy County Extension, located at 8015 W Center Road, Omaha, NE 68124-3175. The training aims to equip participants with the necessary knowledge to meet state certification requirements and ensure safe pesticide handling.
The program will focus on critical aspects of pesticide application, including environmental safety, chemical handling procedures, and compliance with industry regulations. Attendees will receive expert instruction on minimizing risks associated with pesticide use while improving efficiency in application methods.
Certification is mandatory for individuals applying pesticides in commercial or noncommercial settings. This training provides an opportunity to gain valuable skills and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
