A report from the Nebraska Farm Bureau shows the state exported a record of more than $9 billion in ag products in 2021.
Economist Austin Harthoorn (HEART-torn) says the value of corn exports doubled. “Soybeans held solid at number 2. It was fairly level year-over-year. We set a record level and we maintained that his year. Beef was third and grew at 40 percent this year.”
Nebraska is the number one state for beef exports for the 10th straight year.
Breaking it down to the farm level, he says, “Around $200,000 is directly contributed to exports specifically.”
