Earn Green for Going Green

Earn Green for Going Green

ADMÃ’, a leading global agricultural company, is taking its successful re:generations regenerative ag program to new heights, offering more Nebraska farmers the opportunity to earn increased income while positively impacting the environment and soil health.

ADM is expanding the re:generations program to 18 states and three Canadian provinces, providing financial incentives and technical support to farmers implementing sustainable practices like cover cropping, improved nutrient management, and conservation tillage. The goal is to enroll 2 million acres by year-end, making ADM the sole federal Partnerships for Climate-Smart Commodities program to return 100% of the grant to participating producers.

A community meeting will be conducted on Monday, August 14, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Saunders County Fairgrounds in Wahoo, Nebraska, where local farmers can find out more about the programme and sign up. In 2024, this period is ideal for farmers who are thinking about their spring planting plans and fall cover crop plans. To attend, please RSVP here.

Depending on how many regenerative farming techniques they use, participating farmers could receive up to $25 per acre yearly. A key aspect of the program's success in Nebraska is its partnership with Practical Farmers of Iowa, which provides growers with technical assistance, data collection, and program result reporting.

Keith Koch, ADM's Nebraska program manager, emphasizes the significance of farmers' contributions in promoting a sustainable future. The program supports grassroots farmers, while the USDA grant expands its reach and benefits for participating producers.

What sets ADM's re:generations apart is its user-friendly design, featuring a short-term one-year contract, fewer requirements, and localized support from program managers and trusted environmental groups.

ADM aims to reduce its environmental footprint by empowering local farmers through initiatives like re:generations. This not only supports income but also fosters a healthier, more sustainable agricultural landscape.
