The Heuermann Lecture symposium, slated for May 29 at Nebraska Innovation Campus, is set to spotlight the expanding field of agricultural technology. Open to the public and free of charge, the event will commence at 3 p.m. Central Standard Time and can also be accessed via livestream.
Attendees are welcome without prior RSVPs, and a networking reception is scheduled to follow at 4:30 p.m.
A panel of industry experts from various startups will engage in a 45-minute discussion, highlighting the advancements and opportunities in agricultural technology. The session will continue with a 30-minute Q&A, allowing attendees to probe deeper into the subjects discussed.
Panelists include:
- Jordyn Bader of Marble Technologies, discussing meat processing automation.
- Jessica Korinek of Nave Analytics, focusing on enhancing irrigation efficiency through data analysis supported by climate and crop modeling.
- Jacob Hansen from ALA Engineering, presenting innovations in cattle feeding operations.
- Chad Johnson of Grain Weevil, introducing safety and management innovations for grain bins.
- Jack Keating from Corral Technologies, explaining cattle collar technology for virtual fencing solutions.
- Shane Forney of Sentinel Fertigation, discussing multispectral aerial crop imagery to improve fertigation and manage nitrogen use.
Investment experts, including Grit Road Partners' Ben Williamson and Mike Jung and Invest Nebraska/The Combine's Dan Hoffman and Josh DeMers, will discuss financial support structures for ag-tech ventures, highlighting the Midwest's role in promoting agricultural technology.
The event promises a thorough exploration of how today's innovations and financial strategies are shaping the future of farming. This initiative is part of the Heuermann Lecture series, generously supported by B. Keith and Norma Heuermann, who are dedicated to enhancing Nebraska's agricultural and rural sectors.
