Nebraska Extension in Lancaster County is hosting the "Successful Farmer Series" to educate crop producers on various critical topics. This series, featuring university and industry experts, will be held on Thursdays - Nov. 30, Dec. 7, and Jan. 4 - at the Nebraska Extension in Lancaster County conference rooms located at 444 Cherrycreek Rd., Suite A, Lincoln.
Each session will run from 9 to 11:30 a.m. and will be available via livestream and archived on YouTube for wider accessibility.
The lineup of sessions includes:
Nov. 30: Focus on Ag Policy and Marketing.
Dec. 7: Insights into Weather and Climate Projections, Cover Crops, and a Farmer Panel.
Jan. 4: Discussion on Nitrogen Management Tools, Water Quality, and Nitrate Management.
These sessions allow producers to select topics most relevant to their operations. The cost is $10 per session or $20 for the entire series, with refreshments included. Online viewing is free of charge.
Experts from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln and related organizations will lead the discussions. Industry professionals are also invited to contribute, offering detailed insights and engaging with attendees. The December 7 session will notably feature a panel of local producers sharing their innovative practices.
Attendees will also have the opportunity to network with other area producers. Those interested in participating should register at least two days before each session.

Certified crop advisors attending in person can avail of CCA credits at relevant sessions. This series presents a valuable opportunity for learning and community engagement in the agricultural sector.
