Fort Robinson State Park, which is situated at the intersection of Soldier Creek Road and U.S. Highway 20, will host the Nebraska Soil Health School on September 4. Farmers, crop consultants, and other agricultural professionals are the target audience for this event, which is being arranged by the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service.
Integrated agricultural and livestock systems and their effects on soil health will be the subject of several presentations throughout the program. Bijesh Maharjan and Jessica Groskopf talking about soil health assessments and carbon markets, Mitchell Stephenson sharing his thoughts on cow grazing and soil health, and Dale Strickler's presentation about changing High Plains agriculture are some of the memorable sessions. Riley Hackbart and Nathan Mueller will also present a live rainfall simulator and soil health techniques.\
These presentations and demonstrations will provide valuable information for improving soil health and agricultural practices, helping attendees to implement effective strategies in their own operations. For more details about the event, visit the USDA NRCS and UNL websites.
