The Nebraska Farm Bureau, through the Charles Marshall Fund at the Nebraska Farm Bureau Foundation, has awarded Student Project Grants to passionate young members across several counties. These grants, totaling $4,000, aim to assist students in initiating or expanding their 4-H or FFA Supervised Agricultural Experiences (SAE) projects. Recipients, selected by a Farm Bureau committee, demonstrate their dedication and enthusiasm for various agricultural endeavors.

Grant recipients and their projects include:

Hailey Johnson: Rebuilding a chicken coop for enhanced egg production.

Austin Kamm: Establishing a greenhouse to expand horticultural business and explore innovative growing methods.

Morgan Kliment: Supporting livestock projects involving Red Angus heifers and market show pigs.

Zach Korbelik: Expanding cattle operations through the acquisition of additional fencing supplies and watering equipment.

Zach Mader: Growing a lawn care business by purchasing a riding lawn mower.

McKenzie Van DeWalle: Expanding the baking business with the purchase of more equipment.

Gracie Vyhnalek: Breeding and raising Australian Shepard puppies for the local working dog market.

Levi Webb: Expanding a show pig business to meet the demand for show pigs in the area.

Applicants for the grants must be Nebraska Farm Bureau student members, with eligibility criteria based on age and parental membership. The funds support a wide range of agricultural projects and entrepreneurial ventures, providing opportunities for young individuals to develop their skills and contribute to the agricultural community.
