Nebraska’s winter wheat ratings were mixed during March.
The USDA says 22% of Nebraska’s winter wheat crop is in good to excellent condition, up 3% from the end of February, but 43% is still called poor to very poor, also up 3% on the month.
Soil moisture levels were just about unchanged and except for the extreme southeastern corner of the state, almost all of Nebraska remains in some stage of drought.
